Sparrow Fest and World Sparrow Day – India celebration is a national level initiative by Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) in partner with / supported by National / International Record Agencies, NGO’s and Leading Media House’s. The PAWS-Mumbai / Sparrow Friend / Helping Hand Award is Powered by Karmaveer Chakra - a medallion for voluntary action instituted in 2009 by iCONGO in association with the UN. In this event more than 1000 students, youths and common citizen taken part from different states of India and 47 participants were selected through PAWS-Mumbai selection process which include Journalist, Media House and Sparrow Friends.
