World Sparrow Day - India Celebration

Mumbai : It’s the second year, Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) is honoring the individual especially from the student & youth community, who is doing their best for the conservation of sparrows in their own small way as possible. This year Sparrow Friend Award 2012 given to Suthish Sundaran (18), he is student of St. Gansalo Garcia of Arts and Commerce College, Vasai. He had adopted 3 My Sparrow Home, where he have successfully seen more than 3 breeding season of each pair. Rescued and care birds especially sparrows and feed around 50 pigeons in the morning at his balcony. 
 
One of the noted operation rescue by him, Suthish found "Two Rabbit's" which was thrown in a cloth bag near a garbage bin, which he noticed while he was on his way back to home from college at Vasai. He had noticed some movement so he had checked the bag, he seen two baby rabbit's which were very afraid & was in hungry condition, he call up PAWS-Mumbai Helpline for help where he was guided to give water & leafy vegetable to eat, later after some time, Suthish call back to say they are OK now. 
Later year, the Sparrow Friend Award 2011 awarded to Hitesh Yadav, age 6 years.
PAWS-Mumbai salute this "Sparrow Friend" by honoring by giving "Sparrow Friend Award".
